about

This is the first song the 3 of us ever did together. JT Cinnamons and Richard Sugar had this one put together before I joined in January 2009. Our first practice, I taped the song, put it on my roommates karaoke machine, and wrote the song. I was so excited that I called Adam and asked him to come over to my house and listen to it. He made a face that made me think he didn't like it. We decided to go ahead and have one more practice to see if worked. It's one of the ones that has lasted over the year. It references a pulp book called Portrait of Death that I was sifting at the time.

lyrics

Should I let you out?
You’re a mysterious mess
You’re being clumsy
deliberately
I have x-ray eyes
among you misfits of the other gender
not your gender
Watch us shake them out
she was wearing a little black colt
pointing it at me
what do you want me to do?
my jaw’s beginning to ache
let’s go out the fire escape!
prog dad, be my dad
i’m beginning to see a little clearer now
anything involving the cops,
is to be avoided!
